I have met a number of the artists at the Imago Mundi exhibition inaugurations, that we have organized in various countries, but I certainly cannot say that I know many of them. Emil Lukas, Untitled , I believe that curiosity combined with passion creates the right chemistry to form a critical thought process in total freedom.
There are many more examples like these. August 16, The pandemic has prevented some important projects from going ahead, such as an Imago Mundi exhibition in cooperation with the Italian Institute for Culture in Tokyo, planned in Japan in occasion of the Olympic Games which were regrettably but necessarily cancelled; or a further project in China.

Since the beginning, it was clear that it would be a demanding, yet fascinating adventure. Why was it conceived? What made you want to start collecting contemporary art? Additionally, each catalogue presents essays by art experts which introduce the reader to the local culture and art scene. More than artworks from each country, grouped according to nationality, regions and continents, will be included in the exhibition.
The exhibition design in Venice was executed by the architect Tobia Scarpa as a welcoming space that aids in the comprehension of the richness of the collection. Thank you for your RSVP. Imago Mundi is the collection of works commissioned and collected by Luciano Benetton on his travels around the world, involving, on a voluntary and non-profit basis, established and emerging artists from many different countries.
Mikhail Sedov, a visual artist with a passion for abstract arts. The Luciano Benetton Collection, hosted by the Fondazione Benetton, intends to unite the diversities of our world in the name of a common artistic experience, catalogued very differently from the approach usually seen in museums or galleries and other conventional art market platforms.
We spoke with Martina Fornasaro about their work and how Russian artists are represented in the collection. It has always been important to me to open cultural spaces to the local community and surrounding area; the Benetton Foundation established in is an example. A great traveller and lover of art, Luciano Benetton has firmly united these two passions in the Imago Mundi project, a collection of over two thousand artworks with a 10 x 12 cm format, created by established and emerging artists from different countries around the world the United States, Japan, India, South Korea, Australia with Aboriginal art , countries of Latin America and Eastern Europe, China, Mongolia.
